Questions, Answered
Frequently asked.
Inland or outland — which is better?
Inland lets your spouse stay in Canada and work via SOWP, but you cannot appeal if refused. Outland allows an appeal and is often faster if the applicant is in a visa-exempt country. We advise based on your specifics.
We have been together only 18 months. Is that enough?
There is no minimum duration — but shorter relationships face more scrutiny. We build extra evidence to remove doubt: photos, communication logs, joint accounts, witness affidavits.
My spouse had a prior refusal. Can we still apply?
Yes, but you must disclose it and address why it was refused. We draft a detailed explanation letter that often turns a risk into a strength.
How long does spousal sponsorship take?
Processing times vary by year and visa office. Inland: typically 12–14 months. Outland: typically 10–13 months for India. We track your file against the official IRCC tracker.
